The STOP LIGHT PARTY - The Acacia, Greenhills, September 6, 2009 ![]() MASS at 5 pm. Tribe member Paolo was the mass' singer. Brother Michael gave an interesting Homily while Father Romy officiated the mass. Dinner was served after the mass, followed by the introduction of the Tribe Members. Each one had to state their names and the length of time they have been with TOJ. Tribe member Lucky then sang "Every Now and Then" to the delight of everyone....."mana daw sa idol". PARLOR GAMES followed Lucky's number which started with "COTTON GAME" (each contestants were blowing a piece of cotton and whoever keeps it in the air the longest wins the game - Christian won the game). "MOVING A COIN" was the 2nd game, 5 tribe members were blind folded and were asked to blow a plate with coins on it, without them knowing that a powder (pulbo) was put on the plate so when they blew, it went all over their faces and the winner really was not the one who can move the coin but the one who has the most powdered face, Josephine won! (Dai Jo, Congrats!) :) Abby provided the entertainment in between the Parlor Games, singing "Taylor, the Latte Boy" which was specially requested by the person responsible for organizing the party. (That was so nice of you Abby!) On the 3rd game, tribe members were already hesitant to join, they were probably scared of what the next game was going to be after the "powdered face" game. Anyway, 5 ladies and 5 gentlemen were picked for the "TRIBE TEXT TWIST' as prepared by the night's host Tina . And the last game was 'GUESS MY SONG" with the cooperation of Mr. Jed Madela as the timer. The game was between old TOJ members versus new TOJ members, the contestants were supposed to act out titles of Jed's songs for the rest of the team to guess. The OLDIES end up winning the game. Right after the last game, the hosts (Tina and Lucky) started to thank everyone for coming over. Tina jokingly asked Jed, "kakanta ka pa ba?" But a TOJ party can never be complete without a song from the IDOL.Jed sang "Hanggang" which he dedicated to the TOJ ... after the song, Tina went on to ask Jed again, "yun na ba yun?" The people were still asking for 'MORE'... Jed gave in to a request by singing "A FRIEND".And the people still wanted MORE.... then Jed said, "Gusto nitong mga 'to yung birit eh." Because Jed loves his tribe so much (naks!), he gave in to one more song by giving them what they wanted a "birit" song...."You'll Never Walk Alone" which as usual left everyone in awe. After Jed's numbers, the hosts ended the program by saying, "Pictur-an na!" And it was like the party started all over again. Pictures here and there, camera flashing everywhere, the usual way TOJ parties always ends.... "tsikahan and piktsuran". Jed blew 4 candles saying they should be singing "Happy Birthday to Us'". 4 Years na ang TOJ! Tight friendship between strangers with only one thing in common that's binding them together their wholehearted support and unconditional love for THE Jed Madela. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TRIBE!
